Mt. Kilimanjaro is perhaps the most beautiful mountain in the world. It is the largest free standing mountain with an elevation of 19,340 feet (5,896 meters) and 60 miles across. This vast mountain near the equator covers 5 different ecosystems including savanna, rain forest, heath, alpine desert, and the arctic zone. These five zones contain some of the most unusual and unique plant and animal life on the planet. The mountain will require a high level of fitness but does not require any technical experience.
