↑ Return to Kilimanjaro

Itinerary

Route Options:

Marangu – Known as the Coca-Cola route, the Marangu option is the least steep, and offers huts for overnight accommodations.  We try to steer our clients away from this option as it tends to be overcrowded, and the views are not as nice as the other routes.

Umbwe – This option has some of the most dramatic views on the mountain, and is not often used. It is also known as the steepest route, but is very doable for an adventurous group.

Rongai – As the other routes become more popular this may be the best opportunity to have a quiet, and more pristine climb. If you want to get away from the crowds this may be the route for you.

Machame – Also known as the whiskey route, many considered this the most beautiful, and diverse route on the mountain.

We have a 100% success rate on the mountain, and will take a slow, steady pace, known as “pole, pole” in Swahili.  We use the best porters, and local guides on the mountain. Our head Tanzanian guide has over 15 years experience on the mountain.
