Trips

We specialize in creating unique one of a kind trips not listed in your common travel catalog.

We put together life changing experiences tailored to our clients needs. We visit well known destinations like Machu Picchu and Kilimanjaro as well as unknown places like Iran and Bhutan. Our trips vary from staying in 5 star resorts to living in villages with the locals. We keep our groups small, typically ranging from 2 – 12 people.

The best way to know what we do is to list examples of trips we have led or are leading:

Ecuador: (Culture Immersion and Science) In partnership with Adventurers and Scientists we immerse our group in what we call “adventure with purpose”. An example would be to gather rock samples from 4 high altitude peaks in the Andes to bring back for further study by scientists. We follow our climb with an 8 hour ride up the Amazon river in a native wooden canoe. We spend several days exploring the jungle with locals learning what it means to live in one of the most remote places on earth. We finish off the trip in the adventure town of Banos mountain biking, bridge jumping (puenting) and relaxing in hot springs.

Peru: (Adventure and Luxury) Exploring the beautiful city of Cusco and surrounding ruins we stay in 5 star historic former palace and convent. We then trek 5 days on the high altitude Salkantay trail to the famed Incan ruins of Machu Picchu.  We camp in the villages among the locals. We finish off our trip with a big bang by hopping on a plane to the Galapagos Islands. We jump on an intimate yacht and for the next week snorkel and hike our way from island to island interacting with sea lions, and animals unique to the islands such as marine iguanas and blue footed boobies and the giant albatross.

Tanzania and Uganda: (Adventure and Humanitarian) Combining several of the most beautiful places on earth with doing amazing non profit work makes this one of our most popular trips. We start with a 6 to 7 trip on a less visited trail to the top of Africa. We have the option of hiking the Umbwe, Machame, Rongai, or Lemosho. Our partnership with local guides allows us to visit our porters and guides homes before our climb to get to know our “family” for the next week and to allow us a greater perspective on how the everyday Tanzanian lives. After our climb, we have several safari options visiting either the world famous Serengeti, the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, or less visited Amboseli National Park. After our Tanzanian safari we transfer to the airport and fly to Uganda where we head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to glimpse the endangered mountain gorilla. Our one of a kind African trip culminates with several visits to nearby orphanages and schools. Live Adventure created a non profit in 2007 to help eradicate malaria and a portion of the money paid for each of our African trips goes towards these efforts.

Other unique trips we offer:

Turkey: Tour Istanbul, and the biblical city of Ephesus, Climb Mt. Ararat, then hot air balloon above the stone spired city of Cappadocia in Turkey,

Iran: Tour Tehran, climb the high peaks of Iran, Mt. Damavand, and the jagged peak of Alam Kuh. Visit the historical cities of Isfahan and Persepolis.

Bhutan: Tour the Buddhist monasteries in Thimpu, and Paro. Visit Tiger’s Nest, and either compete in the Tour of the Dragon, the world’s toughest one day mountain bike race, or hike the world’s toughest trail, the Snowman Trek. In between the “world’s toughest” we will rock climb and white water raft world class river and rock.

We are continually adding new destinations and often create one time trips based on client suggestions.
